Conversations

"Conversations" is an investigation into the information held within an image.

In the first experiment, I photographed Rachel Thomas randomly over the course of a single conversation. Every aspect of each image is identical except for the face she made at that moment. She and I both know exactly what occurred through that conversation, but you, the viewer, are left with only a fraction of this information.
In a follow-up experiment, I captured a conversation between Rachel and her sister Grace in the exact same manner. In this case, you certainly have more information than last time, but still are missing the dialogue.

Despite this deliberate lack of information, I have found that it is human nature for the brain to fill in the gaps itself.
We, at our very core, are storytellers. We weave connections and meaning into everything around us. So, I am curious:

What story do you see?
